Paul Meek began in the industry 17 years ago with the Aveda Corporation in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Santa Monica California. Paul quickly became an authority in salon and spa. He has studied naturopathic medicine and herbology for over 20 years. This interest led him directly into the spa and resort industry. Paul began selling top quality products to exclusive resorts and has continued in this industry by providing comprehensive programs and products to resort spas and medical spas globally. Over the last 5 years he has worked with over 500 physicians and has consulted on over 100 med spa properties. Paul is responsible for all relationships with resort and medical spas for SPA TEAM INTERNATIONAL.

 

Dr. Bart Rademaker, a world renown board certified plastic surgeon. He graduated from the United World College at the age of 18 and enrolled into one of the top medical schools in Europe, subsequent to this he studied at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota under the guidance of one of the most re-known surgeons of all time, Dr. Ian T. Jackson. After completing his general surgery residency in Michigan, he finalized his 9 years of surgical training in a 2 year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at one of the top institutions in the country, the Medical College of Wisconsin under the leadership of Dr. David L. Larson. Dr. Larson is currently a board member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery which oversees all board certified plastic surgeons.

 

Shannon Smith has more than a dozen years of experience in the spa industry and has owned and operated several spa locations in Central Florida. She is the owner of Resort Spa Management Inc., a consulting and management company for spas. She owns and operates Celebration Day Spa in Florida Hospital’s Celebration Health. Shannon is on the faculty at Florida College of Natural Health, a Steiner Education Group member. She previously served as a spa director with the Walt Disney Spa management group and Marriott International where she trained staff on systems and procedures at Marriott Resorts nationwide. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and is a licensed massage therapist, cosmetologist, personal trainer and yoga instructor. Shannon has been a guest speaker for the Global Congress of Gynecologic Endoscopy, Home Shopping Network, and Florida Hospital’s Women’s Health Fairs. Because of her expertise in the spa industry, she has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and in local Orlando news media. She and her husband Jason reside in Orlando, Florida.

 

Tamara Ethington – National Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development

Tamara has a distinguished 22 year career in Marketing & Business development in both the National & International arena, online & offline. Tamara's experience as Executive Director for such prominent brands as Prime Time Productions, Capitol ABC Network, DeHaven Entertainment House, the Richard's Group, Ajance Mek, and other notable broadcast and publishing houses, provided her precise knowledge, enabling her to create global brands strategies and take company’s national with great success. Her 10 plus years overseas developing marketing strategies and action plans for new products lends Spa Team International credibility for its resourcing of the latest greatest products. Her experience consulting with fortune 500 companies on International Business Development Deals brought to the table the experience to develop global brands, as she compiled Market research, Analysis, and Planned Action strategies for them. Speaking 4 languages, she was a valued asset to the International Chambers of Commerce while brokering international commerce deals from the World Trade Center in Dallas where she officed for 8 years. As an added bonus, her work with Philanthropy's developing strategies and assembling funds for projects in the 1980's and her experience of politics and its literal and tactical affect within a community, gives Spa Team International an edge in this arena. She started her own non-profit for the benefit of children of inmates and their educational and functional development. Tamara’s expertise to execute strategies which had a direct impact on the lives of domestic communities greatly enhances Spa Team International’s charitable projects such as the Missing & Abused Children’s Network. Tamara's earlier years were spent as much abroad traveling as they were domestically (over 32 countries). Being raised in this environment, was the breeding ground for her love of business, new product resourcing, and languages. Her ease of international territory provide Spa Team International an excellent strategist for resourcing the latest and greatest products and structuring deals in the best interests of our clients.
